Our Story

A Culinary Journey Inspired by Mumbai

Bombay Zaika is the result of years of dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep passion for authentic Indian street food.

Chef Nazim began his career as a line cook, steadily progressing through roles as head cook, supervisor, and ultimately manager. With over a decade of experience in high-volume food operations, he has developed a strong foundation in food safety, staff training, quality control, and leadership.

In 2023, Chef Nazim was felicitated by the City of Vancouver with the Vancouver Tourism Award, personally recognized by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for his outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry.

Driven by a desire to bring the vibrant flavours of Mumbai to a broader audience, Bombay Zaika was created as a mobile kitchen that celebrates the richness of Indian street cuisine.

Every item on the menu is made from scratch, using Chef N.K.’s signature spice blends, with no artificial flavours, no additives, and no added colours. The focus is on quality, authenticity, and delivering bold, memorable flavours—just as you’d find on the streets of Bombay.

This isn’t just street food—it’s a carefully crafted experience, built on skill, tradition, and a lifelong love of cooking.
